Terms of Service

Effective: 22 August 2026

1. Platform nature

TaraFind is a marketplace that connects independent sellers of motorsport and heritage parts with buyers. We are not the seller of the parts listed.

The seller is the merchant of record for every sale. TaraFind does not manufacture, inspect, warrant, endorse or take ownership of any part listed on the platform.

Sellers are solely responsible for their listings, descriptions, photographs, pricing, dispatch and after-sales obligations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, bid, buy or sell on TaraFind.

By using TaraFind, you confirm that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements;
  • all information you provide, including seller legal identity details, is accurate;
  • you will comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Sealed bidding and binding offers

Sellers set a confidential reserve price that is never shown publicly. Buyers may place up to three bids per listing.

Every bid is a binding offer to buy. If a seller accepts your bid, or if your bid meets or exceeds the sealed reserve, a contract of sale is formed between you and the seller and you must complete payment.

Buy It Now purchases form a contract of sale immediately at the listed price plus any delivery charge.

A winning bid or Buy It Now reserves the listing for a limited period so payment can be completed. If payment is not completed within that window, the reservation may lapse and the listing may be sold to another buyer. Sale values are never displayed publicly.

4. Seller responsibilities

Sellers are independently responsible for:

  • the accuracy of listings, part numbers, condition, provenance and compatibility claims;
  • legal title to the parts they list;
  • dispatch, packaging and delivery within a reasonable time;
  • consumer-law obligations where they sell as a business, including returns and cancellation rights;
  • tax obligations arising from their sales;
  • compliance with local, national and international laws, including export controls.

Sellers must not list, promote or distribute:

  • stolen, cloned or misdescribed parts;
  • counterfeit or copyright-infringing goods;
  • safety-critical components known to be defective or unsafe;
  • parts whose sale or export is unlawful;
  • fraudulent schemes, shill bids or off-platform payment solicitation;
  • hate speech or unlawful harassment.

TaraFind may remove listings, suspend accounts or terminate access where content or conduct is unlawful, harmful, misleading or damaging to the platform or its users.

5. Buyer responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for:

  • satisfying themselves that a part suits their vehicle or application before bidding;
  • honouring bids they place, which are binding offers;
  • providing an accurate delivery address;
  • any import duties, VAT or customs charges due in their country;
  • professional fitting and inspection of any safety-related component.

6. Payments, fees and delivery charges

Payments are processed by Stripe. Sellers onboard through Stripe Connect and receive funds directly on their connected account.

TaraFind charges a platform commission of 5% of the part price. Delivery charges are passed to the seller in full and are not included in the commission calculation.

Where delivery cannot be estimated automatically, buyers may request a shipping quote and the seller sets the delivery price before the sale completes.

Payment authorisations may be held until a seller accepts a bid. If the sale does not proceed, the hold is released.

TaraFind is not a party to the sale contract and is not responsible for disputes arising from off-platform agreements between buyers and sellers.

7. Returns, disputes and chargebacks

Returns and refunds are handled by the seller under their own policy and applicable consumer law. TaraFind may assist in mediating disputes but is not obliged to do so.

Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled through Stripe and may be recovered from the seller's connected account.

8. Account suspension and moderation

TaraFind reserves the right to:

  • suspend accounts;
  • remove listings or content;
  • investigate reports;
  • restrict bidding, selling or payout features;
  • terminate platform access.

where necessary to protect users, prevent fraud or bid manipulation, comply with the law, or protect the integrity and reputation of the marketplace.

9. Reporting violations

Users may report:

  • suspected stolen or counterfeit parts;
  • misdescribed listings;
  • impersonation;
  • copyright infringement;
  • abusive behaviour or harmful conduct;
  • attempts to move a sale off-platform.
